Gravity System: If your system is gravity fed, you will typically find a hot water cylinder in the airing cupboard and a cold water tank in the loft.

Combination Boiler: Combination boilers, usually located in the kitchen, instantly heat mains fed cold water and therefore do not require storage tanks.

Pressurised System: If your system is an unvented cylinder, a hot water cylinder will usually be located in the airing cupboard with a pressure vessel on top.
