VADO are honoured to have supported DIY SOS in the Grenfell community regeneration project.

The two-part television series, ‘DIY SOS: Grenfell’; which was aired on BBC One on Wednesday 5 and 12 of September, focused on building a new home for Dale Youth Boxing Club in part one and a new community centre in part two.

With an already rich and successful history, the reconstruction of Dale Youth Boxing Club aims to continue improving the lives of young people and play a vital role within the community. To support the project, VADO supplied seven Velo adjustable shower columns and six Victoriana mono basin mixers for use within the bathrooms.

A new multi-use community centre has also been constructed under the A40, close to Grenfell Tower, for those within the local community. To offer a contemporary appearance within the newly-constructed bathrooms, seven Elements Water mono basin mixers were supplied to the development.

Lee Palmer, VADO’s Director of Specification Sales, explains, ‘it was a great honour to work with the amazing volunteers and the DIY SOS team in supplying the boxing club and the community centre in what was a fantastic and worthy project. We hope that this redevelopment will in some way help to rebuild the lives of the Grenfell residents and community’.

VADO would like to assure you that we have treated this project with the upmost respect and hope our small contribution can help those affected by the Grenfell tragedy.
