This year marks the 30th anniversary of British brassware manufacturer VADO. Founded in 1988, VADO has been at the forefront of designing and manufacturing high quality taps, showers and accessories to customers across the globe for thirty years.

Priding themselves on heritage and history, VADO has built a renowned reputation for creating products that deliver a sensory user experience. Showcasing the very best of British design, VADO has received numerous accolades including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade in 2012.

Through progressive product innovation, the contemporary Kovera tap won the prestigious Red Dot award in 2015 and two iF design awards in 2016 whilst the recent launch of Omika, VADO’s most esteemed collection to date, marked a successful collaboration with designer Jo Love.

Having delivered an annual turnover of over £44m in 2017-18, Jim Williams, VADO’s Managing Director, comments, ‘underpinning our growth is positioning ourselves at the forefront of product development. Our focus remains on launching products that are not only design led but practical from an installation and usage perspective’.

With offices in China, the Middle East, South Africa and Eastern Europe, VADO’s global presence has ensured their unique product range can be found in some of the most prestigious hotel developments around the world, such as the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai, the Saman Villas in Sri Lanka and the Maldives’ Angaga Island Resort.

VADO’s commercial projects extends to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and Western Europe’s tallest building, the Shard in London, whilst a longstanding relationship with the likes of Redrow Homes and Berkeley Homes highlighting VADO’s impressive residential distribution.

“Over the last 20 years, we have built on our successes in the UK retail market and developed as one of the leading brassware brands in the project sector here in the UK and in more than 60 countries around the world”, explains Williams.

Truly representing the vast growth VADO has experienced over this thirty-year period, the launch of VIV, VADO’s augmented reality mobile app, and the opening of Material Lab, London, has undoubtedly signalled the company’s continuous desire to explore the latest technologies and design trends.

To celebrate their landmark year, a charity fundraiser organised by VADO raised an incredible £101,000 for charity after 22 teams from the KBB industry embarked on an epic adventure through Copenhagen, Namur, Amsterdam, Lüneburg and Malmö in just four days.
